Event Details

Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc Math and Science Career Academy hosts its 2nd Annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Career Fair and Exhibition. This purpose of the event, the signature event for the Math and Science Career Academy, is to expose K-12 students to careers in these disciplines. Exhibitors, professionals and students in these disciplines, will feature their careers, conducts hands on demonstrations or showcase real world applications of math and science. The event is set up similar to a job fair, where students will walk around and visit the tables of the exhibitors.

The event is free and open to the public, however if attendees wish they can make a donation when registering for the event, on our website (www.semsuccess.org) or the day of the event.

SEM Link is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, founded in 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia, that promotes student achievement and career exploration in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). SEM Link through its two core programs, Experimental Design Program and Math and Science Career Academy, has enhanced educational experiences for over 1000 Metro Atlanta youth through hands on math and science activities, career exploration and exposure to real world applications of math and science. The Experimental Design Program teaches students how to design and conduct experiments for math and science fairs  utilizing research, laboratory and scientific literacy skills gained through individual and group learning opportunities as well as mentoring.  The Math and Science Career Academy exposes students to math and science through hands-on activities, real-world applications and career exploration. In January 2010, SEM Link expanded its programs to the Bay Area to enhance the educational experiences for Bay youth
